In 2001 I visited Japan.  It had been 45 years since I lived in Japan as a child.  It was an amazing journey of redicovery.  

Upon returning I began work on a series of improvisations as a musical recollection of my trip.  These 10 improvisations were recorded over a period a year and released in 2003.
